🎯 Briefing & Team Setup
Teams receive their roles, resources, and rules — but the information is deliberately incomplete. Just like real organizational life. Each team must decide how to interpret what they've been given, who takes the lead, and how to coordinate with others. The clock starts before anyone feels ready.

🔥 The Hot Hour Is Live
All 6 teams operate simultaneously with limited resources and maximum pressure. This is the core of the simulation. Leadership patterns emerge within the first few minutes — who takes decisions, who avoids them, who communicates, who hoards information. It's raw, unfiltered, and real. Facilitators observe everything.

⚡ Mid-Game Disruption
Halfway through, a curveball hits. New constraints, updated information, or a rule change forces teams to adapt mid-execution. This is the most revealing moment: resilient teams recalibrate quickly, fragile ones freeze or collapse into blame. The gap between strong and weak teams becomes unmistakable here.

🚀 Final Sprint
Pressure peaks. Teams scramble to close their objectives before time runs out. Every decision in these final minutes reveals who genuinely leads under stress and who collapses into noise. The behaviors surfaced here are the ones organizations pay consultants thousands to identify — but here they appear organically, in real time.

💡 Structured Debrief
The most valuable phase. Facilitators present behavioral evidence — not opinions or feelings, but specific observable moments from the simulation. Teams reflect on the gap between what they assumed they were doing and what actually happened. This structured dialogue produces the development priorities that stick for years, not just the weeks after a training.

What Is It

A Simulation
That Holds Up
A Mirror.

Hot Hour Experience compresses a week of organizational life into 60–90 minutes. Developed by Horisont Consulting Denmark, deployed across 4 continents — revealing behavioral patterns no survey ever could.

Not a lecture. Not a workshop. A live lab where your team's actual behavior becomes the curriculum.

🔥
The Simulation

Up to 6 teams, simultaneous operation, competing priorities, scarce resources. No safety net. No right answers handed out.

What actually happens: each team gets different information. Coordination is possible but not enforced. Leaders emerge organically within the first 10 minutes — or don't. The pressure is real even though the stakes are simulated. That's the point.

The Observation

Trained facilitators watch in real time. Not what people claim they do — what they actually do when the clock is running.

Facilitators use structured observation frameworks. They track communication patterns, decision escalation, resource conflicts, and leadership behavior — building the evidence base that powers the debrief. Every team gets a behavioral fingerprint.

💡
The Debrief

Structured reflection, behavioral evidence, forward-focused dialogue. Where raw experience becomes lasting development.

The debrief is 30–45 minutes of structured dialogue anchored in what the facilitator observed — not feelings, but behavior. Teams leave with 2–3 specific development priorities they own, not ones assigned to them. That ownership is the difference between learning and forgetting.

Use Cases

Who It's Built For.

01
Leadership Programs
Development That Actually Sticks

Integrates with MBTI, Belbin, situational leadership, and coaching. Provides the experiential anchor that makes theoretical models stick beyond the training room.

02
Team Diagnostics
Find The Real Problem First

When teams are stuck, plateaued, or going through change. The simulation reveals exactly what's holding performance back — before it becomes a crisis.

03
HR & L&D
The Catalyst For Change

Used by HR leaders, L&D departments, and consulting firms as a catalyst for development conversations, cultural change initiatives, and succession planning.

04
Conferences
Active, Not Passive

Transforms passive conference attendance into active learning. Works with 12 to 120+ participants. Modular design fits half-days, full days, and anything in between.
